NOVELTY - Phase change material, comprises phase change microsphere which includes hydrated organic salt and water-soluble polymer; phase change temperature of hydrated organic salt is 80-200 ℃, melting temperature of water-soluble polymer is not higher than the phase change temperature of hydrated organic salt. USE - The phase change material is useful for current collector, pole piece and lithium-ion batteries (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The phase change material has high thermal conductivity, strong heat absorbing ability, the structure system is stable and reliable, responds quickly, absorbs heat generated in the battery through phase change process and ensures the safety of lithium-ion batteries. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: Preparing phase change material, comprising preparing water-soluble polymer solution, mixing the hydrated organic salt with water-soluble polymer solution to obtain supersaturated solution of hydrated organic salt, vacuum extracting and grinding to obtain final product; Current collector, comprising base material and phase change coating attached on base material in which raw material of phase change coating includes phase change material; preferably, thickness of phase change coating is 1-10 µm; Pole piece, comprising current collector and active layer; preferably, active layer is arranged on one side of current collector; and Lithium-ion battery, comprising phase change material, current collector or pole piece.
