NOVELTY - Preparation of carbon bipolar plate involves dispersing organic plastic in an organic solvent, adding carbon material, stirring, obtaining a dough-like slurry, pressing the dough-like slurry into a flat plate, heating the slurry to evaporate organic solvent, obtaining a dry flat plate, applying a predetermined pressure on the plate, and maintaining the pressure for a predetermined period of time. USE - Preparation of carbon bipolar plate used in fuel cell and vanadium battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables economical and efficient preparation of bipolar plate with high carbon content and conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the bipolar plate, which comprises 80 wt.% or more carbon.
