NOVELTY - Magnetic separation of high visible light activity composite catalyst comprises nano iron oxide, graphene oxide and titanium dioxide, where mass ratio between iron oxide, graphene oxide and titanium dioxide is 1:5-200:0.01-2. USE - The composite catalyst is useful for degradation of high concentration organic compounds (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite catalyst has simple process, low cost, excellent magnetic separation and recovery performance, and is environmentally friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing magnetic separation of high visible light activity composite catalyst comprising (i) ultrasonically dispersing graphene oxide in acid solution having a pH of 1-5 to obtain solution A, where addition amount of acid solution is per 10 mg of graphene oxide is 1-80 ml, (ii) adding alcohol solution of titanium precursor into solution A, volume ratio between alcohol solution of titanium precursor and solution A is 1:1-20, stirring for 0.5-2 hours, mixing, heating mixed solution and reacting at 30-150 degrees C for 12-72 hours to obtain solution B, where volume ratio between titanium precursor and alcohol is 1:1-10, (iii) dispersing nano-iron oxide in deionized water to obtain solution C having a concentration of 0.01-0.5 mol/l, (iv) adding solution C into solution B, where volume ratio between solution C and solution B is 1:10-100, stirring for 0.5-1.5 hours, reacting at 30-150 degrees C for 6-12 hours and allowing to stand to obtain brown product, and (v) magnetic separating fourth product obtained in step (iv), washing, vacuum drying precipitate at 25-100 degrees C for 6-24 hours and then grinding dried product to obtain composite catalyst.
