NOVELTY - A composite protective material comprises a graphene sponge, and a shear thickening fluid comprising silicon dioxide. The shear thickening fluid penetrates into interior of the graphene sponge. USE - Composite protective material. ADVANTAGE - The composite protective material is economical, and has excellent flexibility, and excellent strength and performance with increase of external force. The method is simple and carried out using inexpensive raw materials. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of shear thickening fluid composite graphene sponge protective material, which involves (i) preparing the shear thickening solution, diluting the shear thickening fluid by adding solvent, and dispersing to obtain the shear thickening dilution, (ii) preparing a graphene oxide sponge, and reducing the graphene oxide sponge to obtain the graphene sponge, and (iii) mixing the shear thickening dilution fluid with the graphene sponge to penetrate the shear thickening fluid into interior of the graphene sponge to obtain the graphene sponge filled with the shear thickening fluid, and vacuum drying.
