NOVELTY - A cermet base material comprises 10.0-15.0 wt.%, preferably 11.0-13.0 wt.% cobalt, 2.0-8.0 wt.%, preferably 5.0-7.0 wt.% nickel, 12.0-16.0 wt.%, preferably 13.0-15.0 wt.% tungsten carbide, 1.0-8.0 wt.%, preferably 3.0-5.0 wt.% molybdenum carbide, 0.3-1.3 wt.%, preferably 0.5-1.0 wt.% graphene and remaining titanium carbonitride. USE - Cermet base material for CVD coating. ADVANTAGE - The cermet base material effectively uses graphene with excellent Young's modulus and intrinsic strength, which increases the transverse rupture strength and hardness of the base material, and effectively blocks the expansion of coating cracks. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the cermet base material.
