NOVELTY - The system has an electronic device comprising a heat source that transmits heat to a component or external surface of the device. A heat-conducting layer comprises major surfaces that are positioned such that one of the major surfaces is in operative contact with the heat source and the layer is interposed between the heat source and the component or external surface of the device. The layer comprises a sheet of an integrated graphene film, which thermally shields the component or external surface of the device from heat generated by the heat source. USE - Graphene-based heat dissipation system for an electronic device i.e. portable microelectronic or hand-held computing device. Uses include but are not limited to mobile phone such as smart phone, notebook computer, tablet, electronic book and telecommunication device. ADVANTAGE - The system provides integrated graphene films and graphene oxide composite films with exceptionally high thermal conductivity, high electrical conductivity and high mechanical strength for electronic device applications. The system applies protective coating onto a surface of a flexible graphite sheet to prevent graphite flakes from being released. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The system provides graphitic material that is selected from natural graphite, artificial graphite, meso-phase carbon, meso-phase pitch, meso-carbon micro-bead, soft carbon, hard carbon, coke, carbon fiber, carbon nano-fiber and carbon nano-tube. The system provides thermal transfer material comprising metal or thermal interface material.
