NOVELTY - A composition comprises 70-80 pts. wt. polyester and/or nylon, 15-25 pts. wt. silicon dioxide, 1-5 pts. wt. silicon carbide, 3-8 pts. wt. elastomer, and 0.05-0.5 pt. wt. silane coupling agent. The weight ratio of silicon dioxide to silicon carbide is 4-8. USE - The composition is useful for preparing cut-resistant fiber used in preparation of cut-resistant material for helmet liner, apron, glove, knee pad, arm guard, vamp or rope (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composition provides fiber, which has high toughness and is not damaged easily, and solves the technical problem that polyester and/or nylon, silicon dioxide and silicon carbide cannot be spun. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a cut-resistant fiber, which is prepared from the composition; and (2) preparation of the cut-resistant fiber, which involves (a) uniformly mixing polyester and/or nylon, silicon dioxide, silicon carbide, elastomer and silane coupling agent, (b) preparing molten fluid, (c) spinning, and (d) post-processing.
