NOVELTY - Layered dual hydroxide (LDH) composite comprises a nickel-cobalt-LDH, and nitrogen and sulfur-co-doped reduced graphene oxide. The nickel-cobalt- LDH is at least partially enfolded by the reduced graphene oxide-nitrogen and sulfur to form the LDH composite having a surface area of 100-150 square centimeter per gram. The nickel-cobalt-LDH has a plate structure with a length and a width less than 5 µm, and a thickness less than 20 nm. Elements carbon, nickel, cobalt, oxygen, sulfur, and nitrogen are homogeneously distributed. USE - LDH composite for use in electrode (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite has excellent electrode material for high-performance energy storage devices, and provides electrode having excellent charge transfer resistance, specific capacitance, and discharge current density, and high energy density. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a electrode, which comprises the LDH composite, a first substrate, at least one binding compound, and at least one conductive additive; where a mixture of 5-15 wt.% binding compound, 5-15 wt.% conductive additive, and 70-90 wt.% LDH composite based on the total weight of the binding compound, conductive additive, and LDH composite, at least partially coats a first side of the first substrate.
