▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A face mask comprises layer (A) comprising surface-functionalized graphene particles comprising (i) less than 0.2 wt.% sulfur impurity based on the total weight of surface-functionalized graphene particles, (ii) less than 10 ppm manganese and (iii) less than 10 ppm nitrogen oxide of formula: NOx, and optionally one or more additional fabric layers. USE - Face mask e.g. multilayer face mask used as personal protective equipment to prevent spread of bacterial or viral infection (all claimed). Uses included but are not limited to hospital, dentists, research facilities, vaccination centre, medical centre, surgery, clinic, and veterinarians or other facility. ADVANTAGE - The surface-functionalized graphene particles lead to high levels of protection against a broad spectrum of microbes/infectious agents including having excellent anti-bacterial and anti viral properties. The surface functionalized graphene particles are able to inhibit bacterial and viral replication processes leading to improved antimicrobial properties compared to the use of non-functionalized graphene. The graphene particles have a cooling effect due to their high thermal conductivity, meaning that the face mask is more comfortable to wear for long periods of time in warm conditions compared to conventional face masks or surgical masks. The mask also has high breathability. It is easy to manufacture as use of functionalized graphene means that the graphene particles disperse well in matrix materials used during manufacture without the need for additional surfactants or other hazardous additives. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: use of face mask as personal protective equipment to prevent the spread of bacterial or viral infection; and manufacture of face mask. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a schematic view of the face mask. 11Outer layer 13Inner layer 21Nose wire
