NOVELTY - Use of fluorine-containing compound (I) as additive for battery electrolyte, is claimed. USE - (I) are useful as additive for preparing battery electrolyte (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - (I) reduces irreversible capacity loss of lithium-ion batteries, and improves discharge capacity, working voltage, cycle life and cycle stability of lithium-ion batteries on the basis of controlling commercial costs and is efficient controlled business costs. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Use of fluorine-containing compound of formula (I) as additive for battery electrolyte, is claimed. R1-R5 = H, F, Cl, Br, I, 1-20C linear or branched alkyl, halo substituted 1-20C linear or branched alkyl, 1-20C linear or branched alkyl containing S, O, N, Si, P and B heteroatoms, halo-substituted heteroatom-containing straight or branched 1-20C alkyl group, where heteroatom is S, O, N, Si, P or B, 6-20C aryl group, 6-20C aryl group substituted by halo (F, Cl, Br or I), 4-20C heteroaryl group containing S, O, N, Si, P and B heteroatoms or 4-20C halo-substituted heteroaryl containing S, O, N, Si, P and B heteroatoms; X = none, 1-20C linear or branched alkylene, halo substituted 1-20C linear or branched alkylene, 1-20C linear or branched alkylene containing S, O, N, Si, P and B heteroatoms or halo-substituted 1-20C linear or branched alkylene containing S, O, N, Si, P and B heteroatoms; RX = 6-20C aryl group, RX-1 substituted 6-20C aryl group, 4-20C heteroaryl in which heteroatom is S, O, N, Si, P and B or RX-2 substituted 4-20C heteroaryl group containing S, O, N, Si, P and B heteroatoms; and RX-1 and RX-2 = F, Cl, Br, I, 1-20C linear or branched alkyl, halo-substituted 1-20C linear or branched alkyl, 1-20C linear or branched alkyl containing S, O, N, Si, P and B heteroatoms or halo-substituted 1-20C linear or branched alkyl group containing S, O, N, Si, P and B heteroatoms. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) battery electrolyte comprising solvent, electrolyte and substance A, where substance A includes (I); and (2) battery comprising casing, anode, cathode, separator and battery electrolyte enclosed in the casing.
