NOVELTY - Flexible high latent heat low temperature phase change energy storage gel comprises phase change material, first hydrophilic monomer and second hydrophilic monomer. The phase change energy storage gel is prepared by in-situ polymerization of each raw material. The phase change material is lithium nitrate trihydrate or calcium chloride hexahydrate, and the first hydrophilic monomer is hydrophilic monomer that can be dissolved in the phase change material. The second hydrophilic monomer is substance that is liquid at room temperature and can increase the solubility of the first hydrophilic monomer. USE - The storage gel is useful for preparing temperature-regulated materials (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The storage gel is suitable for comfortable cold compress therapy for the human body, and has excellent stability, flexibility and high latent heat. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: preparing the storage gel, comprising using the first hydrophilic monomer and second hydrophilic monomer as reactive monomers, using phase change material as solvent, and preparing the flexible high latent heat low temperature phase change energy storage gel by in-situ polymerization; and cold compress gel, where cold compress gel is flexible high latent heat low temperature phase change energy storage gel.
