NOVELTY - A supported sulfonium-anchored monatomic catalyst comprises a sulfonium-supported carrier and an active metal. The sulfonium sulfur iodide having a trimethyl group with one positive charge. The active metal is one or more of iridium, rhodium, nickel, palladium, platinum, gold, ruthenium, iron, cobalt and is anchored on the sulfonium site on the carrier in the form of a mononuclear complex of halide or carbonyl halide. USE - Supported sulfonium- anchored monatomic catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The supported sulfonium anchored monatomic catalyst has simple preparation, high loading capacity, high dispersion and excellent stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - AN INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of a catalyst, which involves (s1) subjecting the carbon-based support to a sulfur treatment in order to enrich it with sulfur functional groups, (s2) treating the sulfur-containing carbon-based carrier with halogenated hydrocarbon to form a sulfonium salt on the surface of the carrier, drying at 100-200℃, and loading the halide or the mononuclear complex of carbonyl halide with catalytic activity to prepare the supported sulfonium- anchored monatomic catalyst.
