NOVELTY - Boron carbide/graphene micro-laminated composition material comprises alternately arranged boron carbide (B4C) layers and B4C-graphene layers, the B4C-graphene layer is doped with reduced graphene oxide (rGO), and the content of rGO is 0.5-10 wt.%. USE - Used as boron carbide/graphene micro-laminated composition material. ADVANTAGE - The composition material: has a compact structure and an obvious layered structure, can uniformly distributes the B4C and B4C-graphene layers, and improves the fracture toughness while maintaining high hardness and strength. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the boron carbide/graphene micro-laminated composition material, comprising (i) providing a base film; (ii) preparing a layer of B4C slurry on the base film, and then forming a layer on the base film after drying B4C-GO slurry; (iii) repeating the above steps until a multilayer B4C and B4C-GO laminated slurry is obtained; (iv) drying to obtain a B4C/B4C-GO laminated film; (v) calcining to remove organic matter in the slurry; and (vi) using the spark plasma sintering in an inert atmosphere and cooling with the furnace.
