NOVELTY - A mullite fiber toughened clay comprises 30-40 parts mass, preferably 34 parts mass kaolinite, 25-35 parts mass, preferably 30 parts mass quartz, 10-20 parts mass, preferably 15 parts mass muscovite, 1-6 parts mass, preferably 3 parts mass mullite fiber, 4-10 parts mass, preferably 7 parts mass alumina particles, 10-20 parts mass, preferably 14 parts mass attapulgite and 4-10 parts mass, preferably 7 parts mass graphene. USE - Mullite fiber toughened clay for pottery. ADVANTAGE - The clay has increased toughness due to the presence of mullite fiber. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the pottery clay.
