NOVELTY - Preparation of polymer-based silver-carrying graphene nano antibacterial material, involves preparing the ingredients which comprise base resin, polystyrene/silver graphene composite and antioxidant, melting and blending. The base resin comprises a high impact polystyrene, styrene-butadiene block copolymer, styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene copolymer, acrylonitrile-chlorinated polyethylene-styrene graft copolymer, and acrylonitrile-styrene-polyacrylate rubber terpolymer. USE - Preparation of polymer-based silver-carrying graphene nano antibacterial material for use in electrical and electronic industry, automobile industry, instrument industry, machinery industry and the building material industry. ADVANTAGE - The antibacterial rate on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus of the antibacterial composite material is more than 90%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of polymer-based silver-carrying graphene nano antibacterial material, involves preparing the ingredients which comprise 75-90 pts. wt. base resin, 10-20 pts. wt. polystyrene/silver graphene composite and 0.05-0.2 pt. wt. antioxidant, melting and blending. The base resin comprises a high impact polystyrene, styrene-butadiene block copolymer, styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene copolymer, acrylonitrile-chlorinated polyethylene-styrene graft copolymer, and acrylonitrile-styrene-polyacrylate rubber terpolymer. The polystyrene/silver graphene composite is prepared by in-line emulsion process. The antioxidant is a hindered phenol antioxidant.
