NOVELTY - Polymeric material comprises a thermoplastic, thermosetting, elastomeric polymer, or an organic or organometallic molecule with the ability to create a coating; copper (I), copper (II), and/or zinc (II) compounds; coordination or organometallic ligands in free or coordinated form to copper (I), copper (II), and/or zinc (II); and reducing agents or their mixtures and a graphene material. USE - Polymeric material with virucidal activity or for reducing the viability of contagion in humans and animals is against Coronavirus, Influenzavirus, Norovirus, Adenovirus, Poliovirus, Parvovirus, Retrovirus, Rhinovirus, Filovirus, Herpesvirus or Arenavirus, for example chickenpox virus, human papillomavirus (HPV), herpes simplex virus, human parvovirus V19, common cold coronavirus, Ebola virus, influenza virus H1N1, H1N2, H2N2, H3N2, H5N1, measles virus, negative pathogenic bacteria e.g. Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Neisseria meningitidis, fungi, molds and mycoses e.g. tinea pedis, candida albicans, alternaria, and aspergillus, and preparing objects such as masks, footwear, textiles and non-woven fabrics, containers, floors, composites, automotive and aeronautical parts, paints and varnishes, plastic parts, gloves, countertops, walls, household and industrial objects, and tables (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The polymeric material reduces the viability of viruses, bacteria and fungi, and reduces the viability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a method for preparing a polymer and objects, which involves introducing extrusion, injection, turbomixing, hot plate molding, film blowing, foaming, processes; internal mixing in tangential or gear mixers, roller mixing, vulcanization, thermoforming, dispersion or dissolution agitation, roller mixing, casting, spray, painted, dipped, dried; and (2) a use of a thermoplastic, thermosetting, elastomeric or coating material which has biocidal, preferably bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal properties.
