NOVELTY - Crude terephthalic acid hydrogenation refining catalyst comprises a carrier and an active component, where the carrier is graphene, and the active component is palladium. The active component is obtained by reduction of palladium-containing compound. The carrier is obtained by the reduction of graphene oxide. The reduction of palladium-containing compound and graphene oxide is carried out simultaneously by microwave reduction method using a reducing agent. USE - The catalyst is useful in crude terephthalic acid hydrogenation refining (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the catalyst, comprising: (i) mixing 2-8C carboxylic acid, graphene oxide and palladium-containing compound, then treating ultrasonically to obtain a mixture-A; (ii) heating the mixture-A at 80-120 degrees C for at least 30 minutes, cooling to room temperature to obtain catalyst precursor; and (iii) reducing the catalyst precursor using a reducing agent by microwave method, filtering, washing with water and drying.
