NOVELTY - Preparing nano-silver antibacterial glass comprises (i) placing glass substrate into water for ultrasonic treatment for 5-15 minutes, taking out, washing with water, (ii) immersing the cleaned glass substrate completely immersed in absolute ethanol for 20-30 hours, centrifuging the suspension for 15-20 minutes to remove impurities in the suspension, (iii) soaking the dried glass substrate in the oxidized graphene suspension for 3-5 minutes, and drying by nitrogen, (iv) soaking in nano silver solution for 2-3 hours, washing, placing into hydrochloric acid to soak for 10-15 minutes, drying with nitrogen to obtain a surface substrate with positive charge, (v) uniformly mixing silver nitrate solution with poly diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride solution, adding sodium borohydride solution, stirring uniformly to obtain nano silver sol, (vi) grinding oxidized graphite; (vii) soaking the glass substrate into oxidized graphene suspension and drying. USE - The method is useful for preparing nano-silver anti-bacterial glass, which is useful in kitchen and toilet fields. No biological data given. ADVANTAGE - The nano-silver-anti-bacterial glass has excellent resistance to Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and Aspergillus flavus, and Aspergillium niger and other fungi. The method uniformly plates nano silver on the glass substrate, keeping the original shape of glass substrate. The glass transmittance is not greatly influenced, and the nano silver antibacterial agent is dispersed on glass surface with large area of the bacteria contact it has excellent property of antifungal property.
