NOVELTY - Manufacture of graphene/zirconia ceramic composite material involves dry-pressing 100 g zirconia powder to zirconia ceramic preform, dispersing graphene in N-methylpyrrolidone solvent, grinding, filtering the supernatant, ultrasonically drying to obtain graphene dispersion, immersing the zirconia ceramic preform in graphene dispersion, drying, and sintering under vacuum environment in microwave. USE - Manufacture of graphene/zirconia ceramic composite material used for drill bits, tool and bearings. ADVANTAGE - The method enables efficient manufacture of graphene/zirconia ceramic composite material with excellent brittleness and fracture toughness which is increased by 20% or more, and suppressed generation of defects.
