NOVELTY - Preparation of hollow spherical porous graphene involves grinding coal tar pitch to particle size of less than 74 mu m, adding 62.2-66.7 %mass nano magnesium oxide and 11.1-15.6 %mass nano potassium hydroxide, mixing, grinding to particle size of less than 74 mu m, obtaining slurry, feeding the obtained slurry into a corundum boat, placing the corundum boat into a tubular furnace, draining air in the tube furnace, introducing inert gas, reacting, obtaining reaction product, cooling the reaction product at room temperature, grinding, pickling, washing with distilled water and drying. USE - Preparation of hollow spherical porous graphene used for supercapacitor electrode. ADVANTAGE - The method economically and safely provides hollow spherical porous graphene, by a simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of hollow spherical porous graphene involves using coal tar pitch containing 6.2 wt.% n-hexane solubles, as raw material, grinding to particle size of less than 74 mu m, adding 62.2-66.7 %mass nano magnesium oxide and 11.1-15.6 %mass nano potassium hydroxide, mixing uniformly, grinding for 1-2 hours, to particle size of less than 74 mu m, obtaining slurry, feeding the obtained slurry into a corundum boat, placing the corundum boat into a tubular furnace, draining air in the tubular furnace, introducing inert gas to the tubular furnace in flow rate of 0-80 mL/minute for 5-10 minutes, heating at 150 degrees C for 0.5 hour in rate of 5 degrees C/minute, reacting at 800 degrees C for 1 hour in rate of 5 degrees C/minute, obtaining reaction product, naturally cooling the resultant reaction product at room temperature, grinding, pickling, washing with distilled water and drying.
