NOVELTY - Preparing silicon carbon anode material comprises mixing and reacting the oxide of the liquid-containing carbon precursor with the pre-heated graphite to obtain the silicon oxide-carbon composite nano-layer coated graphite composite material, and performing aluminum thermal reduction reaction. USE - The material is useful in lithium ion battery cathode (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple without complex device and process flow, economical, and has short synthesis time, and high yield. The material has good cycle performance and excellent rate performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for silicon carbon anode material prepared by the above mentioned method; and #lithium ion battery cathode prepared from the silicon carbon cathode.
