NOVELTY - Preparing artificial graphite involves: (a) graphitizing coke powder to obtain intermediate; (b) uniformly mixing liquid-phase coating agent i.e. coal tar, asphalt oil and/or liquid asphalt, and conductive agent i.e. carbon black, carbon nanotube and/or graphene slurry with intermediate to obtain composite precursor; and (c) carbonizing composite precursor at 900-1400degrees Celsius under protection of protective gas. USE - The method is useful for preparing artificial graphite, which is useful in lithium-ion battery (claimed), which is used as core energy component of vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The method provides a cathode material capable of simultaneously improving safety and fast charging performance of lithium-ion. The liquid-phase coating agent effectively improves appearance of the artificial graphite surface, reduces specific surface area, reduces active site of secondary reaction, reduces lithium-ion battery, reduces gas production and volume expansion of lithium-ion battery, and improves safety performance of lithium-ion battery. The prepared artificial graphite has good liquid absorbing performance, so as to reduce internal resistance and improve low temperature performance, which is good for movement of lithium-ions. The prepared lithium-ion battery has good quick charging performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for lithium-ion battery.
