NOVELTY - Self-repairing flexible electrode, comprises a current collector and a flexible electrode coating arranged on at least one side surface of the current collector, and the flexible electrode coating includes a self-healing adhesive and anode active material. The self-healing adhesive includes an amino-containing high molecular polymer and a carbonyl-containing high molecular polymer, and the amino-containing high molecular polymer and carbonyl-containing high molecular polymer are not the same high molecular polymer. The flexible electrode coating further comprises a conductive agent. The anode active material comprises sulfur/carbon composite material, preferably, the conductive agent comprises anyone or a combination of at least two of conductive carbon black, carbon nanotubes and graphene. USE - The self-repairing flexible electrode is useful in lithium sulfur battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The electrode: has high integrity and excellent cycle performance by immobilizing poly sulfides with the large number of polar groups carbonyl and amino groups; and promote the redox conversion kinetics and inhibits the shuttle effect.
