NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide involves cleaning, drying, grinding and sieving the carbon rods in the waste zinc-manganese battery to obtain carbon rod powder, and mixing the carbon rod powder, sodium peroxide and sodium hydroxide, then melting and cooling to obtain a cooled alkali fusion sample. The cooled alkali fusion sample is mixed with water, filtered to obtain a filter residue, and finally contacted and reacted the filter residue with hydrochloric acid to obtain purified graphite powder. The purified graphite powder, potassium persulfate (K2S2O8) and sulfuric acid are contacted to obtain graphene oxide. USE - Method for preparing graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method uses carbon rods in waste zinc-manganese batteries to prepare graphene oxide, which not only solves the problem of processing waste batteries, but also provides a new method for preparing graphene oxide.
