NOVELTY - Nano-sized calcium carbonate comprises 7-10 pts. wt. calcium carbonate, 3-5 pts. wt. calcium oxide, 3-9 pts. wt. graphene, 3-7 pts. wt. ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM), 2-6 pts. wt. coupling agent, 8-14 pts. wt. activator, 1-5 pts. wt. ionic liquid, 3-8 pts. wt. polyethylene wax calcium carbonate masterbatch, and water (specific amount). USE - The carbonate is useful for degradable plastic film (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The carbonate: enhances the charge characteristics of calcium carbonate; prevents the reunion; improves dispersion, and the affinity of the material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the nano-sized calcium carbonate, comprising (i) taking calcium carbonate, calcium oxide, graphene, EPDM rubber, coupling agent, activator, ionic liquid, and polyethylene wax calcium carbonate masterbatch, (ii) sending the calcium carbonate, calcium oxide, and graphene obtained in the step (i) to a grinder (or other grinding device) for grinding for 20-30 minutes, and sieving the mixture through a 300-meshes sieve to obtain mixed material, (iii) sending the mixed powder ground out of (ii) into the mixer, adding specific amount of water and activator, stirring at speed of 300-400 revolutions/minute (rpm) for 5-10 minutes, then adding ionic liquid and coupling agent, stirring at speed of 600-1000 rpm for 5-10 minutes, finally adding polyethylene wax calcium carbonate masterbatch and EPDM rubber, stirring at speed of 300-400 rpm for 25-40 minutes, and(iv) discharging and storing the coating mixture stirred in the step (iii).
