NOVELTY - The preparation method of graphene oxide nanosheet reinforced polyvinyl alcohol composite material involves adding concentrated sulfuric acid and graphite powder to three-neck flask, stirring, cooling in ice water bath, then dripping potassium permanganate and heating, pouring oxidized graphite into ice water, then centrifuging and washing with aqueous hydrochloric acid, washing with deionized water, centrifuging and collecting product, finally drying in vacuum drying box, ultrasonically dispersing graphite oxide in deionized water and centrifuging. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene oxide nanosheet reinforced polyvinyl alcohol composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of graphene oxide nanosheet reinforced polyvinyl alcohol composite material with excellent physical properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation method of graphene oxide nanosheet reinforced polyvinyl alcohol composite material involves adding 50 ml concentrated sulfuric acid and 0.5 g graphite powder to three-neck flask, uniformly stirring, cooling in ice water bath to 0 degrees C, then dripping 0.5-1.5 g potassium permanganate and heating at 35 degrees C to react for 2 hours, heating at 70 degrees C to react for half an hour to obtain oxidized graphite, pouring oxidized graphite into ice water, then centrifuging and washing 6 times with 10% aqueous hydrochloric acid, washing 3 times with deionized water, centrifuging and collecting product, finally drying at 60 degrees C in vacuum drying box to obtain graphite oxide, ultrasonically dispersing graphite oxide in 10 ml deionized water for 1 hour, then centrifuging at rotating speed of 4000 rpm for 30 minutes and removing non-stripped graphite oxide to obtain aqueous solution of graphene oxide nanosheet, then adding 1 g of polyvinyl alcohol to aqueous solution of graphene oxide nanosheet and stirring at 90 degrees C, pouring uniform mixed solution into flat substrate, and drying at 60 degrees C.
