NOVELTY - A composite comprises graphene, and an electrode active material comprising microparticles which are conformally coated by the graphene. USE - Composite is used for forming electrode e.g. positive electrode or negative electrode for electrochemical device e.g. battery (all claimed) e.g. lithium-ion battery used for portable electronics, electric vehicles and related mobile technologies. ADVANTAGE - The electrode formed using the composite provides electrochemical device having improved electrochemical stability and voltage capacity retention rate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: an electrode, which comprises the composite; and formation of the composite, which involves providing electrode active material having microparticles, and coating microparticles conformally with a hermetic layer of graphene.
