NOVELTY - Dry manufacture of an electrode involves providing a substrate (10), dispensing a primer material (20) on the substrate to provide a primer layer (22) on the substrate, dispensing an electrode material (40) on the primer layer, and attaching the electrode material by means of pressure and/or temperature to provide an electrode material layer. USE - Dry manufacture of electrode used for energy storage device (all claimed) such as lithium-ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The method is environmentally-friendly, and enables efficient manufacture of electrode. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) electrode, which is obtained by the process; and (2) an energy storage device, which comprises the electrode.
