NOVELTY - Preparing conductive organic hydrogel comprises providing polyvinyl alcohol or polyvinyl alcohol/other soluble polymer blends as the substrate, under the action of solvent and conductive particles, preparing the hydrogel by freezing-melting, stretching hydrogel, and shaping to obtain conductive organic hydrogel with anisotropic structure. Where the solvent is mixed solvent of water and non-volatile solvent. USE - The conductive organic hydrogel is useful for strain sensor, pressure sensor, capacitor, ion conductor or actuator (claimed), biological strain sensor in very wide temperature range. ADVANTAGE - The hydrogel has good electrical conductivity and high mechanical properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) conductive organic hydrogel with anisotropic structure; (2) strain sensor, comprising conductive organic hydrogel with anisotropic structure; and (3) continuous monitoring device for the respiratory system, comprising monitoring circuit and sensor, where the sensor is conductive organic hydrogel.
