▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The amplifier has a doped optic fiber (100) comprising an undoped outer core (104) surrounding a doped inner core (102). A graphene cylinder surrounds the undoped outer core. The graphene cylinder is formed of a monolayer of graphene or multilayer graphene. The graphene cylinder is deposited onto the undoped outer core through chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. The inner core is doped with a rare earth element. An optical pump excites the rare earth element to higher energy state to amplify an optic signal. USE - Doped optic fiber amplifier for optical communication and laser physics applications. ADVANTAGE - The amplifier allows an optical isolator to prevent unwanted feedback into the doped fiber with an optical oscillator/laser cavity. The amplifier utilizes graphene lattices that are defect free as presence of defects reduces strength of graphene lattice. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a side view of a doped optic fiber for an optic fiber amplifier with graphene cladding.
