▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Method for preparing titanium carbide-reinforced titanium-based composite material based on cross-linked modified sintered titanium hydride involves (a) placing titanium hydride in a polyvinyl alcohol solution, stirring, separating and drying to obtain surface hydroxylation modification of titanium hydride, (b) preparing the hydroxylation-modified titanium hydride into an aqueous dispersion, adding a carboxy-containing carbon source, stirring, separating and drying to obtain a carbon source/titanium hydride composite powder, and (c) pressing and sintering the carbon source/titanium hydride composite powder to obtain the product. USE - The method is useful for preparing titanium carbide-reinforced titanium-based composite material, which is useful in preparation of high-strength wear-resistant structural parts in aerospace, armored vehicles, weapons, ships, and automobiles applications (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material has uniform size of 150 mu m, sintered mass density greater than or equal to 99%, tensile plasticity of 8% and tensile strength of 570 MPa, has excellent high-strength wear-resistant, and reduces wear volume by 19%. The method solves problem of poor mechanical properties of titanium-based composite materials, and is cost-effective.
