NOVELTY - Carbon coated molybdenum diselenide/graphene electrospinning nano fiber comprises coated carbon, molybdenum diselenide and graphene, where the mass ratio of coated carbon and molybdenum diselenide is 15-40:85-60 for per 100g of carbon coated molybdenum diselenide/graphene electrospun nanofibers. The graphene content in 100 g carbon-coated molybdenum diselenide/graphene electrospun nanofibers is 0.2-1 g. The molybdenum diselenide is uniformly distributed in the form of crystals inside the fiber and is coated with carbon. USE - The carbon coated molybdenum diselenide/graphene electrospinning nano fiber is useful as lithium/sodium ion battery cathode material and high-performance electro-catalysis material. ADVANTAGE - The method: has easily available raw materials, simple preparation process, controllable and mild reaction condition; and produces product with high specific surface area, high conductivity and structure stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Carbon coated molybdenum diselenide/graphene electrospinning nano fiber comprises coated carbon, molybdenum diselenide and graphene, where the mass ratio of coated carbon and molybdenum diselenide is 15-40:85-60 for per 100g of carbon coated molybdenum diselenide/graphene electrospun nanofibers. The graphene content in 100 g carbon-coated molybdenum diselenide/graphene electrospun nanofibers is 0.2-1 g. The molybdenum diselenide is uniformly distributed in the form of crystals inside the fiber and is coated with carbon. The graphene as conductive network through or embedded in the coating carbon. The carbon-coated molybdenum diselenide/graphene electrospun nanofibers have a diameter of 200-300 nm, where the length-diameter ratio is greater than 10000. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing carbon coated molybdenum diselenide/graphene electrospinning nano fiber comprising (a) dissolving the water-soluble molybdenum salt and polymer in a solvent, heating until a stable clear sol is formed, adding the dispersed graphene solution to the molybdenum salt solution, to form an electrospinning solution, where the solvent comprises ethylene glycol and deionized water, the volume ratio of ethylene glycol and deionized water in the electrospinning solution is 0.5-2:5, (b) taking electrospinning solution and electrospinning, to obtain hybrid fiber and (c) vacuum sintering the hybrid fibers and zero-valent selenium in a tubular furnace at 500-800 degrees C.
