NOVELTY - Production of iron-graphene particles using graphene oxide involves (a) preparation of graphene oxide powder and (b) preparing iron-graphene particles by pickling iron powder with dilute hydrochloric acid, repeatedly washing with deionized water, leaving iron powder on a filter paper, preparing graphene oxide solution using auxiliary graphene oxide, adding sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate to graphene oxide solution, soaking iron powder on filter paper in solution to form graphene oxide foam film on iron powder surface and placing on filter paper to absorb excess water. USE - The method is useful for producing iron-graphene particles (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method ensures production of iron-graphene particles without using auxiliary processing apparatus. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Production of iron-graphene particles using graphene oxide involves (a) preparation of graphene oxide powder by adding crystalline flake graphite powder to a beaker, adding sodium nitrate and 43.5 mg/ml sulfuric acid to the beaker, slowly adding potassium permanganate to the beaker, stirring in ice-water bath for 5 minutes, removing ice-water bath, heating at 35 degrees C for 30 minutes, slowly adding deionized water to the beaker to make flake graphite concentration to 21.7 mg/ml, stirring for 15 minutes, adding 3 %mass aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide at 60 degrees C until there is no bubbles, carrying out centrifugal precipitation process at pH of 3-4 and freeze-drying, and (b) preparing iron-graphene particles by pickling iron powder with dilute hydrochloric acid, repeatedly washing with deionized water for 5-30 minutes, leaving iron powder on a filter paper, preparing 2-20 mg/ml graphene oxide solution using auxiliary graphene oxide, adding sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate as surfactant to graphene oxide solution, soaking iron powder on filter paper as substrate in prepared solution for 1-30 minutes to form graphene oxide foam film on a surface of iron powder, removing foam film formed on surface of iron powder and placing on filter paper to absorb excess water. The mass ratio of flake graphite powder and sodium nitrate is 2:1. The mass ratio of flake graphite powder and potassium permanganate is 1:3. The concentration of sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate is 0.02 mg/ml.
