▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A sensor comprises a composition including a semiconducting material, an oxidation catalyst proximate to the semiconducting material, and an oxidation enhancer associated with the oxidation catalyst. USE - Sensor is used in sensor array for detecting analyte such as methane and thiol (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The sensor detects analyte with high sensitivity and selectivity, and provides information about gas mixture composition. The sensor can be prepared in a simple and cost-effective manner, and has high sensitivity, and high selectivity for methane and/or thiol, and low sensitivity for hydrogen sulfide. The semiconducting material can be modified to bind the oxidation catalyst, and the oxidation enhancer can function as oxidation enhancers. The poly(4-vinylpyridine) has excellent thermal stability and chemical stability, and is easy to handle. The oxidation catalyst can be used to oxidize methane and thiol in a short period of time, and does not require the use of expensive and time-consuming catalysts, thus reducing the cost of the sensor. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) method of sensing an analyte; (2) preparation of a sensor; and (3) sensor array.
