NOVELTY - Preparing palladium catalyst electrode modified with a graphene-doped Nafion film involves putting titanium mesh into sodium carbonate solution and boiling water in oxalic acid solution to remove surface oxides. Mixture is rinsed with secondary distilled water, then dried with nitrogen. Graphene is dispersed into Nafion isopropanol solution with mass concentration of 0.05-0.65wt.% and mass concentration of graphene is 0.02-0.1wt.%. Palladium chloride powder is put into hydrochloric acid to dissolve. USE - Method for preparing palladium catalyst electrode modified with a graphene-doped Nafion film used for electrochemical reductive dechlorination of chlorinated organics in water. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare palladium catalyst electrode modified with a graphene-doped Nafion film has higher catalytic activity in simple manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing palladium catalyst electrode modified with a graphene-doped Nafion film involves putting titanium mesh into sodium carbonate solution and boiling water in oxalic acid solution to remove surface oxides. The obtained dispersion is uniformly coated on titanium mesh and suspension is allowed to stand in horizontal state, then dried to obtain graphene oxide Nafion/titanium electrode. Graphene oxide Nafion/titanium electrode is used as cathode and platinum plate as anode to obtain palladium catalyst electrode.
