NOVELTY - Graphene-based and zinc containing anti-corrosion paint (22) or coating comprises: a graphene-based material; a sacrificial zinc metal or compound; and a resin, where the resin contains the graphene-based material and the sacrificial zinc metal or compound. USE - The paint or coating is useful in many industries for the corrosion protection of steel-based structures and consumer goods. ADVANTAGE - The paint or coating: are relatively effective and inexpensive ways for corrosion protection; prevents or slow down the corrosion of steel; and is economical. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for forming the paint or coating comprising mixing (20) the graphene-based material, the sacrificial zinc metal or compound, and the resin to form the paint or coating, where the graphene-based material is first dispersed in a solvent to form a dispersion or a wet cake and the graphene-based material is a dry powder.
