NOVELTY - Method for preparing an ionic liquid modified graphene oxide membrane with water and ion selective transport performance involves (a) uniformly dispersing graphene oxide in a solvent to obtain a graphene oxide dispersion liquid, (b) dissolving the ionic liquid in the graphene oxide dispersion liquid and dispersing uniformly to obtain an ionic liquid modified graphene oxide film forming solution, and (c) assembling the ionic liquid modified graphene oxide membrane preparation solution on a porous support through pressure drive to form a membrane layer, and drying the membrane layer to obtain the ionic liquid modified graphene oxide film. USE - The method is used for preparing an ionic liquid modified graphene oxide membrane with water and ion selective transport performance (claimed) and in water purification and ion separation. ADVANTAGE - The structure of the membrane is stable, promotes rapid transmission of water molecules and monovalent ions, and intercepts multivalent ions, and exhibits high permeability and high selectivity in monovalent and multivalent salt solution systems.
