NOVELTY - A graphene-supported metal oxide monolith is prepared by providing graphene aerogel monolith, immersing graphene aerogel monolith in a solution containing greater than or equal to 1 metal salt to form a mixture, curing mixture to obtain a gel, and heating the gel. USE - Preparation of graphene-supported metal oxide monolith. ADVANTAGE - The graphene-supported metal oxide monolith has specific capacities which are thickness independent, high surface area, high electrical conductivity, and mechanical robustness. The graphene provides a conductive network and maintains the structural integrity of the electrodes without the need for carbon additives or polymer binders.
