NOVELTY - Manufacturing non-woven reinforced epoxy composite material, comprises (i) ultrasonically treating the reduced graphene oxide and carbon nanotubes using an ultrasonic generator; (ii) dispersing the ultrasonically treated reduced graphene oxide and carbon nanotubes by adding sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS); (iii) coating the synthesized reduced graphene oxide-carbon nanotubes (rGO-SWNTs) on a nonwoven fabric; (iv) washing and drying the coated nonwoven fabric; (v) adding epoxy resin to acetone as an organic solvent and stirring; (vi) heating the epoxy resin; (vii) reacting by adding 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane as a curing agent to the epoxy resin; (viii) stabilizing the epoxy resin mixture of step (vii) in a vacuum oven; and (ix) impregnating the coated nonwoven fabric and stabilized epoxy resin mixture and curing through hot press. USE - The non-woven reinforced epoxy composite material is useful as hydro filler and electronic components. ADVANTAGE - The method produces product exhibiting synergistic effect of rGO-SWNTs leading to excellent electrical conductivity, mechanical strength and electromagnetic wave shielding performance.
