▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A high voltage metal-free battery comprises a cathode comprising a cathode electroactive material including greater than or equal to 1 of organic compound, oxide, hydroxide, oxyhydroxide, and/or sulfide; an anode comprising an anode electroactive material including greater than or equal to 1 of organic compound, oxide, hydroxide, oxyhydroxide, and/or sulfide; a catholyte in contact with the cathode, where the catholyte is not in contact with the anode, and where the catholyte has a pH of less than or equal to 4; and an anolyte in contact with the anode, where the anolyte is not in contact with the cathode, and where the anolyte has a pH of greater than or equal to 10. USE - A high voltage metal-free battery. ADVANTAGE - The battery has separator having ion-selective properties. The cathodes and anodes used in the high voltage metal-free battery can access 5-100%, or alternatively 50-100% of the theoretical capacity at wide range of current densities and material loading. The high voltage metal-free battery does not have display dendrite or shorting issues because of the absence of metal electrodes. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for forming a high voltage metal-free battery which involves disposing a catholyte in contact with a cathode; disposing an anolyte in contact with an anode; and disposing greater than or equal to 1 of separator or buffer layer between the anolyte and the catholyte, where the catholyte is not in contact with the anode, and where the anolyte is not in contact with the cathode. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a schematic view of the high voltage metal-free battery.
