NOVELTY - A positive electrode (100) comprises a current collector (101) and an active material layer (102) over the current collector. The active material layer comprises particles (p1) of an active material having a layered rock salt structure and a piece of graphene. The particles (p1) have an average primary particle diameter of less than or equal to 3.0 mu m. USE - Positive electrode for nonaqueous secondary battery, which is used for electrical device e.g. display devices, lighting devices, computers, word processors, image reproduction devices, music reproduction devices, radio receivers, recording reproduction devices, stereos, remote controls, clocks, cordless phone handsets, transceivers, mobile phones, earphones, game machines, pedometers, calculators, portable information terminals, electronic-book readers, electronic translators, audio input devices, cameras, toys, electric shavers, electric toothbrushes, high frequency heating appliances, electric rice cookers, electric washing machines, electric vacuum cleaners, water heaters, electric fans, hair dryers, air conditioning systems, dehumidifiers, and air conditioners, dishwashers, dish dryers, clothes dryers, futon dryers, electric refrigerators, freezers, flashlights, electric power tools, smoke detectors, health equipment, medical equipment, industrial equipment, and moving articles (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to lithium-ion secondary batteries, lithium-ion capacitors, air cells, hybrid electric vehicles, electric vehicles, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. ADVANTAGE - The positive electrode reduces degradation of battery characteristics, and provides the battery with excellent cyclic characteristics.
