NOVELTY - A carbon nano-field emission cathode comprises a substrate, a graphene layer horizontally coated on the substrate, and a carbon nanotube array located on the graphene layer, where root of each carbon nanotube is covalently linked to the graphene layer. USE - Carbon nano-field emission cathode for use in field emission display device, X-ray tube, and terahertz device (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The cathode has excellent thermal conductivity, increased the operating current, and emission stability, and can be stably emitted at a higher current. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for manufacturing a carbon nano-field emission cathode.
