NOVELTY - Polyether ester plasticizer (I) is new. USE - Polyether ester plasticizer (I) is useful in lithium ion battery cathode slurry, which is useful for coating the surface of the positive electrode sheet (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The polyether ester structure of the plasticizer contains ester groups, and the addition of plasticizers containing ester groups increases the distance between polymer molecular chains such as binders in battery slurry, weakening the polymer to varying degrees. The interaction force between the molecular chains reduces the van der Waals force between the molecular chains of the binder, thus increasing the flexibility of the positive electrode sheet and preventing cracking caused by excessive stress of the binder molecules during the drying process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A polyether ester plasticizer of formula (R1O(C2H4O)m(C3H6O)n-C(O)-R2) (I), is new. (R1=phenyl, or aryl group of formulae (a)-(h); R2= 8-18C-alkyl; m = 5-20; and n = 0-10). An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a lithium ion battery cathode slurry, which comprises the polyether ester plasticizer (I).
