NOVELTY - A nanoparticle-graphene-carbon composite comprises a graphene network in which graphene is dispersed between carbon-coated nanoparticles and metal nanoparticles reactive with lithium. USE - Nanoparticle-graphene-carbon composite is used for coating current collector used for electrode for secondary battery used in electrical power storage apparatus and electronic device (all claimed). Uses include but are not limited to hybrid vehicle, plug-in hybrid vehicle, electric vehicle, industrial tool and robot. ADVANTAGE - The nanoparticle-graphene-carbon composite has high conductivity, mechanical elasticity and specific surface area. The battery has high capacity and improved cycle durability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) manufacture of nanoparticle-graphene-carbon composite; (2) electrode, which comprises a current collector coated with nanoparticle-graphene-carbon composite; and (3) secondary battery, which comprises electrode and electrolyte.
