NOVELTY - The photodetector has two core layers (11) formed on a lower sleeve layer (10) at an interval, one of the core layers is in contact with the lower sleeve layer. A set of groove layers (12) is formed on the lower sleeve layer and between the adjacent core layers, where a refractive index of each groove layer is less than a refractive index of the core layers adjacent to the groove layer. A grapheme layer (13) is in contact with the groove layer and a metal electrode (14) or formed in the groove layer. USE - Graphene groove waveguide photodetector for use in a lighting device. ADVANTAGE - The photodetectorhas higher detection responsivity and photoelectric conversion efficiency.
