NOVELTY - Preparing graphene and alumina crystal whisker reinforced copper-base composite material, comprises e.g. (i) wet grinding the surface-modified alumina whiskers, surface-modified graphene, and copper powder, mixing and vacuum drying to obtain mixture, (ii) press-molding the mixture obtained in step (i) to obtain blank, (iii) performing vacuum hot pressing and sintering the green blank obtained in step (ii), after finishing sintering and cooling, and (iv) subjecting sample cooled in step (iii) to hot isostatic pressing to obtain final product, where the amount of the surface-modified alumina whisker is 0.5-2 wt.% based on the total weight percentage of the copper-based composite material, the amount of the surface-modified graphene is 0.25-1 wt.%, and the balance amount is the copper powder; the weight ratio between surface-modified alumina whisker and surface-modified graphene is 1-4:1, the surface-modified alumina whisker is alumina whisker surface-treated with sodium dodecyl sulfate. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene and alumina crystal whisker reinforced copper-base composite material. ADVANTAGE - The copper-based composite material has excellent mechanical properties and high density. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene and alumina crystal whisker reinforced copper-base composite material, comprises (i) wet grinding the surface-modified alumina whiskers, surface-modified graphene, and copper powder, mixing and vacuum drying to obtain mixture, (ii) press-molding the mixture obtained in step (i) to obtain blank, (iii) performing vacuum hot pressing and sintering the green blank obtained in step (ii), after finishing sintering and cooling, and (iv) subjecting sample cooled in step (iii) to hot isostatic pressing to obtain final product, where the amount of the surface-modified alumina whisker is 0.5-2 wt.% based on the total weight percentage of the copper-based composite material, the amount of the surface-modified graphene is 0.25-1 wt.%, and the balance amount is the copper powder; the weight ratio between surface-modified alumina whisker and surface-modified graphene is 1-4:1, the surface-modified alumina whisker is alumina whisker surface-treated with sodium dodecyl sulfate, and the surface-modified graphene is graphene treated with rutin surface-modification. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for graphene and alumina crystal whisker reinforced copper-base composite material obtained by above method.
