NOVELTY - High-density polyethylene sheath material comprises first component comprising 80-90 pts. wt. high-density polyethylene, 20-30 pts. wt. linear low-density polyethylene, 5-8 pts. wt. carbon black, 1-5 pts. wt. polyethylene wax, 1-3 pts. wt. antioxidant and 1-3 pts. wt. anti-wear agent, and second component comprising 2-7 pts. wt. melamine, 5-15 pts. wt. formaldehyde solution, 8-12 pts. wt. ammonium polyphosphate and 4-6 pts. wt. pentaerythritol. USE - Used as high-density polyethylene sheath material. ADVANTAGE - The material: effectively reduces the phenomenon of dripping and re-burning of the dripping material during the combustion process of the sample; improves the processing fluidity, impact strength, tensile strength, and elongation at break and carbonization effect during combustion with the flame-retardant system. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the high-density polyethylene sheath material, comprising (i) mixing melamine and formaldehyde solution of second component, adjusting the pH value with sodium hydroxide solution and hydrochloric acid solution, heating and stirring to obtain prepolymer powder through suction filtration, vacuum drying and grinding, (ii) adding the prepolymer powder, ammonium polyphosphate and pentaerythritol to a high-speed mixer and mixing to obtain a mixture, (iii) combining a mixture with high-density polyethylene, linear low-density polyethylene, carbon black, polyethylene wax, antioxidant and anti-wear agent, adding into the mixing machine for blending, then entering the extruder for mixing, plasticizing and extruding, and (iv) extruding, cooling, blow-drying, pelletizing, drying, and packaging the finished product.
