NOVELTY - Manufacturing aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide involves subjecting graphitic carbon in water or aqueous solution to high-shear environment in presence of dispersing agent to exfoliate graphene oxide. USE - Method for manufacturing aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide used as concrete additive of composition in apparatus (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method for manufacturing aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide enables to enhanced hydration, increases formation of calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) crystals, provides strong hydration crystal nucleation sites, improves stability and reduce agglomeration. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a concrete admixture, which comprises aqueous dispersion of graphene oxide; (2) a concrete composition, which comprises concrete admixture; and (3) a apparatus, which comprises graphitic carbon source; dispersant source; high-shear device, which comprises inlet in fluid communication with graphitic carbon source, and dispersant source, where high-shear device for producing hydrous graphene oxide; vessel in fluid communication with outlet of high-shear device to receive hydrous graphene oxide; and at least one measurement for determining characteristic of graphene oxide in received hydrous graphene oxide.
