USE - Method for producing oxidized graphene/sodium alginate composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables production of oxidized graphene/sodium alginate composite material with improved mechanical properties and low production cost, by simple synthesis process under mild reaction condition. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for producing oxidized graphene/sodium alginate composite material, involves adding 7 g natural graphite, 3.5 g anhydrous sodium nitrate and 115 mL concentrated sulfuric acid, mixing evenly in magnetic stirrer, stirring for 30-40 minutes, slowly adding 20 g potassium permanganate for 1.5-2 hours, placing the obtained solution in ice water bath at 35-40 degrees C, continuing the reaction for 30-40 minutes, adding 210-220 mL distilled water to beaker under the condition of rapid stirring, controlling the reaction temperature at 80-85 degrees C, stirring for 15 minutes, diluting the reaction solution with distilled water and adding 3-5 %mass hydrogen peroxide to suspension to obtain golden yellow color, washing the reaction solution for 5 times with 5% hydrochloric acid and distilled water, centrifuging, until the oxidized graphite water dispersion is neutral, adding barium chloride until no white precipitation occurs, finally, ultrasonically processing prepared graphite oxide for 1 hour at frequency of 60 kHz to obtain graphene oxide suspension, adding 2.5-4 mL graphene oxide suspension to beaker, diluting with distilled water, adding 3 g sodium alginate, stirring at high-speed for 1 hour, ultrasonically processing for 0.5 hour, leaving still for 2 hours at room temperature, calcining at 40 degrees C for 24 hours, removing the solvent, crosslinking 5% concentration of calcium chloride solution for 30 minutes to remove the membrane, washing with distilled water and drying to obtain oxidized graphene/sodium alginate composite material.
