USE - The method is useful for preparing high strength and high sensitivity tensile-responsive conductive hydrogel is useful in strain sensor, wear-resistant sensing device and soft robot (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple; and enables to prepare tension responsive conductive hydrogel with high strength, high sensitivity, ultra-high mechanical performance and excellent electrical performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing high strength and high sensitivity tensile-responsive conductive hydrogel comprises (i) dissolving the graphene oxide ultrasonically in the deionized water and ultrasonically processing to dissolve fully to form graphene oxide solution; (ii) dissolving the ferric chloride hexahydrate in the deionized water, mixing with the polyvinyl alcohol and the graphene oxide solution, stirring in the nitrogen atmosphere uniformly and maintaining the temperature at 95℃ for two hours; (iii) adding agar into the mixed solution, maintaining the temperature unchanged and stirring for 0.5 hours; (iv) preparing borax-boric acid solution, adding into the mixed solution in step (iii) and reacting continuously for 1 hour; (v) pouring the reaction completed solution into a culture dish and allowing to stand at 80℃ for 1 hour to remove air bubbles; (vi) subjecting the solution to 5 freeze/freeze-thaw cycles to obtain polyvinyl alcohol-borax-boric acid/ graphene oxide-ferric ion/agar hydrogel; and (vii) soaking polyvinyl alcohol-borax-boric acid/ graphene oxide-ferric ion/agar hydrogel in potassium solution for 0-10 hours.
